Register to vote

Every year we carry out a canvass to make sure we have the right details for you on the electoral register.

All households in the district receive a Household Enquiry Form, which is used to check our records and find out who in your household isn’t currently registered to vote.

We'll send reminder forms to households that haven't replied.

How to respond

If all the information on the letter is correct you can simply:

  • return the form by post in the envelope provided

  • call 0800 197 9871 and follow the instructions

  • text NOCHANGE followed by your individual security code to 80212

  • Visit the Household Response website  and follow the instructions

If the information on the letter is wrong you can update it by visiting the Household Response website.

What happens next

Anyone in the household who is not registered to vote will be sent an Invitation to Register (ITR) form.
