We'll let you know about any disruptions to local services here. You can also like our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter to stay updated.

Weather forecast

Check to see if there are any severe weather warnings for the district

If the temperature drops to 0°C or below for at least three consecutive days, we work with partner organisations such as Porchlight to offer support to rough sleepers. This is known as our severe weather emergency protocol.

If there is a risk of flooding, you should take precautions to protect your property. See what you can do to prevent flooding or visit the Environment Agency website for more information.

If your home is in immediate danger of flooding, please call us on 01227 862 000. Although we don't have a statutory duty to provide sandbags, we will try and support you.

Kent County Council provide a winter service for the district, including salt bins and gritting and traffic and travel information.
